Saint Margaret Mercy welcomes new physicians to its medical staff

Onyebuchi Achufusi, MD, board certified in Internal Medicine, has joined Saint Margaret Mercy's department of Internal Medicine. Dr. Achufusi began his medical education at Medical University of Pecs, Pecs, Hungary. He served his internship and completed his residency at St. Joseph Hospital, Chicago, Ill. His office is in Hammond.

Ronald Deckard, DDS, has joined Saint Margaret Mercy's department of Surgery/Dental Surgery. Dr. Decker completed his medical education at Indiana University, Indianapolis, Ind. His office is in Elletesville, Ind.

Kamran Mahmood, MD, with board certifications in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Disease, has joined Saint Margaret Mercy's department of Internal Medicine. He began his medical education at King Edward Medical College, and served his internship and residency at Nassau University Medical Center/SUNY at Stony Brook, East Meadow, N.Y. Dr. Mahmood holds a fellowship in Pulmonary Disease from University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center, Chicago, Ill. His office is in Hammond.

Marek Odehnal, MD, has joined Saint Margaret Mercy's department of Internal Medicine. He began his medical education at Medical University of Silesia. He served his internship and completed his residency at St. John's Episcopal Hospital, South Shore, Far Rockaway, N.Y. Dr. Odehnal's office is in St. John.

April Platt, MD, board certified in Anatomic & Clinical Pathology/Hematology, has joined Saint Margaret Mercy's department of Pathology/Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. Dr. Platt began her medical education at Rush University, Chicago, Ill. She served internships at University of Chicago Hospitals, Chicago, and at Loyola University Medical Center, Maywood, Ill. She holds a fellowship in Pathology/Hematology from Wayne State University, Detroit, Mich. Her office is in Michigan City.
