NICU Graduate Reunion

Babies who begin life Saint Margaret Mercy’s Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) are not simply discharged when they are strong enough to go home; they “graduate,” a momentous occasion for the family, as well as the physician and nurses. It is such a special event that the NICU nurses host a biennial graduate reunion for all families who have graduated in the two years since the last one. The biennial reunions began in the 1980s, and the next is to take place on Saturday, March 12.
